This series of books provides a guide to sounds for different learning levels and an effective way to introduce them. Ideas to assist students consolidate learning through different ways are also provided. Book 1 deals with single sounds and short vowels. The focus sound is introduced with a key word and the sound in sentences. Students are asked to identify or use the sound by circling words, writing sentences, searching word lists or drawings and using cloze activities to complete words or phrases.

The process can be in a sequence starting with investigation, design, production, communication and concluding with evaluation.
